Laurence Himel is the founder of Cityspace Real Estate Inc., having started the company in 2003. Since entering the real estate profession in 1986, Laurence has provided specialized Tenant Representation and Investment Sales services to corporate clients throughout Canada. His expertise extends from all markets and sub-markets in the Greater Toronto Area to all other major and secondary markets throughout the country. Laurence's assignments range from large-scale facility lease transactions for top-tier global firms to strategic planning and execution for companies with multiple locations to complex lease renegotiations to investment sales for buyers and sellers.
Recognized as a leading provider of comprehensive site selection services, Laurence has completed more than two million square feet of assignments in more than 30 markets across Canada for contact centers and other clients requiring advanced location, labor, and customer analytics. As President of Cityspace, his responsibilities also include ensuring the ongoing development of best practices to support the firm’s commitment to excellence and innovation in servicing the needs of its clients.
Laurence is a native of Toronto and graduate of Western University in Economics. He started his career at Knowlton Realty in Edmonton and Toronto and more recently, served as country head of Tenant Representation for JLL in Canada prior to founding Cityspace.
A dedicated motorsport enthusiast, Laurence is a Board Member of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame and has earned an ASN Canada FIA National Professional driver license.
