Tell us about your past experience (where did you go to school, previous jobs, volunteer work, etc.)
I have a BA and MA from the University of Waterloo. My Master's thesis examined the impact that the construction of the DEW Line on Inuit health care, vocational training, and early childhood socialization. Then I attended Osgoode Hall Law School where I obtained my JD. I practiced as an immigration and refugee lawyer for 7 years before making the switch to real estate. I currently serve as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Reception House Waterloo Region.
What is your favourite thing about your industry/job?
Helping my clients make informed decisions about one of the most important decisions of their lives: where to live. In a world where there is so much information available online, it can be hard for clients to digest and interpret the information in a meaningful way. That's where my industry experience comes into play. Numbers are just numbers unless you know what they mean and understand the why behind them.
What is the career philosophy / mantra / inspirational quote that gets you through tougher days?
Obstacles are a problem if we shrink before them, but if we face them with courage and confidence, they become a springboard to victory.

Where would we find you on a Friday night in Toronto?
We live in Waterloo, but on a Friday night I am probably at home with my family, our cat, and our dog, enjoying quality time together.
When you’re not working, what can we find you doing?
Taking my toddler on adventures to help him discover all of the amazing wonders the world has to offer. When he's napping, and in those rare moments I have to myself, you'll find me watching anime, reading a book, or gaming.
Highlight so far this year and what you’re looking forward to this next year
The highlight of my year so far has been officially getting my license and joining PSR. I'm looking forward to seeing how far I can go and how well I can establish my presence and reputation as a realtor.
